DANIEL BURSON. An indeterminate, mid-season, high-yielding tomato variety suitable for open-field cultivation. It produces strong, well-foliated plants with potato-leaf foliage, reaching up to 1.5 meters in height. Requires staking and pruning for optimal harvest. Fruits are medium-sized, flattened-round in shape, weighing between 150 and 300 grams.
The skin is deep burgundy-brown with a purplish hue and distinctive dark green shoulders. These tomatoes look striking and unique both in the basket and when sliced. The flesh is very meaty, juicy, and rich in flavor with a harmonious sweet-spicy aftertaste. Perfect for fresh salads, elegant slicing, appetizers, and side dishes. Also makes excellent thick tomato juice.
A new variety discovered by American breeder Bill Jeffers. It is considered a cross between the well-known varieties Indian Stripe and Daniels, combining the best traits of both — in taste and appearance. Noted for its stress tolerance and consistently high yields even in hot summer conditions.
