DWARF ULURU OCHRE. This variety was developed and introduced in the 2015 season as part of the Dwarf Tomato Project. It is a tomato with truly outstanding flavor qualities. The fruits are exceptionally tasty, dense, and meaty, with very little juice and almost no internal cavities. The flavor is rich and well-balanced, with a pronounced tomato aroma — a variety appreciated for its substance rather than visual effect. As with green-fruited and bicolor tomatoes, it is important to choose the correct harvest time.
At optimal ripeness, the fruits reveal their full flavor potential; however, overripe tomatoes do not store well, making this variety best suited for fresh use and immediate processing. Plants are compact, with the characteristic rugose foliage typical of the dwarf series, giving the plants a decorative and easily recognizable appearance. The fruits display a unique coloration — a complex blend of ochre-orange and greenish tones.
The flesh is bicolored, orange-green, dense, and buttery in texture. Thanks to this structure, the tomatoes are excellent for slicing, salads, and thick sauces. The variety is named after the famous Australian Uluru rock formation, a natural symbol of the continent, emphasizing its originality, rarity, and strong individuality among dwarf tomato varieties.
