FEDERLE. Is a mid-season, tall, and exceptionally productive American tomato variety originating from West Virginia. It is characterized by vigorous plants that can reach up to 1.7 meters in height when grown outdoors. Despite moderate foliage, the plants are heavily laden with fruit, making the variety not only decorative but also highly productive.
The fruits are large, elongated, and bright red, measuring over 15 cm in length and weighing up to 230 grams. These tomatoes are very meaty, with few seeds and virtually no juice — the so-called "dry" type. Because of these qualities, the variety is ideal for drying, making sun-dried tomatoes, and processing into ketchup, tomato paste, and other tomato products.
The flavor is outstanding — rich, sweet, and distinctly tomatoey with a full aroma. It is believed to be one of the sweetest varieties among similar types in shape and use. Originally bred in the USA, the seeds were acquired in Europe from our colleague in France, ensuring their authentic origin and high quality. A perfect choice for those who value high yields, excellent taste, and versatile culinary use.
