FLATHEAD MONSTER PINK. The variety first appeared from Dorothy Biswenger of Minnesota, who said she discovered it and named it after the Flathead River in Montana, where her grandparents lived in the early 1900s. It has gained recognition among gardeners thanks to its outstanding characteristics. This is an indeterminate, mid-season, and productive variety that requires staking and pruning.
The plants grow into strong bushes about 1.8 meters tall and bear fruit actively throughout the season. Fruits are large (200-500 g), deep pink in color, with a smooth and glossy skin that gives them a highly appealing appearance. The tomatoes are multi-chambered, meaty, yet juicy and melt-in-your-mouth tender. They have a pronounced sweet taste with harmonious fruity notes and no acidity.
Thanks to their exceptional flavor (rated 5+), this variety is considered one of the tastiest of the season. Perfect for fresh consumption, as well as for making juices, salads, and various dishes. The variety is resistant to major tomato diseases and tolerates temperature fluctuations and stress well, making it an excellent choice for cultivation.
