TOOTHED TOMATO (GEZAHNTE TOMATO), Italy. A mid-season variety, a beautiful plant reaching 1.4 meters in height, wide, strong, with spreading foliage. Very attractive fruits with an abundance of clusters! Simply a sight to behold! This variety has won over everyone who grew it thanks to its unique productivity—the plant bears more fruit clusters than leaves! Each cluster is powerful, with 6–8 fruits ripening per truss, and the flavor is intensely tomatoey.
Vigorous plants with fine foliage and a fantastic variety of red, pear-shaped fruits with pronounced ribbing, weighing up to 300 grams. The flesh is dense, has a good flavor, not juicy, with hollow seed cavities. Wonderful aroma. The variety was renewed from its old archival lines. TOMATO USE
A very beautiful variety, ideal for stuffing, salads, and dish decoration. Also suitable for canning. The hollow seed chambers absorb the brine and take on the flavors of spices. The variety has elevated resistance to late blight. Perfect for stuffing (the hollows inside allow plenty of filling, and the dense fruit walls hold their shape) and for fresh consumption.
Fruit color — rich red-raspberry, without green shoulders (which is quite rare for truffle-shaped tomatoes). The shape is deeply ribbed, becoming even more textured and grooved toward the top. A fairy-tale flower, not a tomato! And the taste just confirms the love: very pleasant, bright, sweet with a barely noticeable acidity that enhances the flavor, juicy despite the hollow cavities.
