GIOVANNI. A mid-season tall variety with a striking appearance and bright flavor. This tomato combines the ornamental nature of the bush, unusual fruit coloration, and excellent marketable qualities. The plant is indeterminate, reaching up to 1.8 meters in height in open ground. The bush is vigorous, strong, with dense dark green foliage, looking healthy and robust throughout the season. It forms long clusters with cascades of fruit, which gives the plant a special decorative quality. The fruits weigh 40-100 grams, are dense, meaty, and juicy.
The coloration is one of the most unusual: the main background is emerald green, across which crimson-red stripes and rays spread. The shoulders are densely covered with dark, inky anthocyanin, giving the fruits a contrasting, almost artistic appearance. In cross-section, the flesh is green with crimson and pink shades. The skin is dense, allowing the fruits to withstand transportation well and have good shelf life. The tomato retains its marketable appearance even after harvest. The taste is sweet, with practically no pronounced acidity, and has a distinct fruity aftertaste.
The consistency of the flesh is dense, "marmalade-like," which makes the variety especially interesting for fresh salads and gourmet slices. The yield is high, and fruiting is stable. The variety demonstrates good disease resistance, which facilitates growing in open ground. The purpose is universal — suitable for fresh consumption, salads, canning, and drying. Thanks to its unusual coloration and the decorative appearance of the bush, Giovanni becomes not only a source of harvest but also a true ornament to the garden.
