GLADKI KAMBI. A mid-season, compact, low-growing variety of sweet Bulgarian pepper bred in Bulgaria. This tomato-shaped pepper produces smooth, large, fleshy fruits with a slightly flattened shape. The plant is compact, reaching 30-50 cm in height, which makes it suitable for cultivation both in open ground and in greenhouses or containers. The fruits of this variety are especially attractive: round or slightly flattened, smooth, glossy, and deep red-burgundy in color. The average fruit weight is 140-160 g, with a diameter of 8-10 cm.
These peppers are fleshy and have thick walls (9-10 mm), which allows them to remain juicy even after heat treatment. The flesh is sweet, aromatic, and without bitterness. The fruits are highly versatile: excellent for stuffing, pickling, grilling (hence the nickname “the king of the grill”), as well as for fresh salads and various culinary dishes. The variety is valued for its stable yield, uniform fruits, high decorative appeal, and outstanding taste qualities.
