GODZILLA. One of the most unusual and discussed varieties from Germany. Tall, vigorous, with dense potato or intermediate foliage, it forms sturdy, dense bushes about 1.5 m tall. Just by its appearance, it is clear — this is a variety with character. The fruits are bright red, "super-red," of varying shapes and weights. The flavor is classic tomato — rich, meaty, with a harmonious combination of sweetness and light tang. The flesh is dense, aromatic, well-suited both for fresh consumption and processing. The main feature of the variety is the phenomenon of fasciation, which in the case of Godzilla is hereditary.
The plant forms unusual fused stems that become flat and ribbon-like, and fruits can form as large fused cherry clusters combined into one massive cluster. Unlike accidental fasciation caused by stress or mutations, this characteristic is genetically transmitted in this variety. Seedlings initially develop as ordinary tomatoes, but around the beginning of flowering, the stems begin to change: instead of single round shoots, fused, thickened structures form.
Additionally, many new shoots may appear at the base of the plant, making the bush even more vigorous and unusual in shape. The variety attracts attention not only with its exotic appearance but also with stable yield. Historical references say that similar tomatoes, gathered in clusters, were convenient for travel — fruits could be picked one by one without damaging the others. Godzilla is a variety for collectors and lovers of rarities: unusual morphology, bright color, good flavor, and a true "wow" effect in the garden bed.
