GORDEY BLACK. A striking new variety with unique, almost black fruits that combines early maturity, high productivity, and an exceptionally sweet fruity flavor. One of the most impressive anthocyanin tomato varieties. Early-maturing, indeterminate. In open ground, plants grow up to 1.5 m tall, producing sturdy stems and numerous trusses. Each truss bears 5-7 fruits weighing 70-80 g. High yielding.
The fruits are firm, round to round-oval. At full maturity, they develop a rich inky-purple color, while some fruits may retain a small yellow patch. As the variety is still undergoing selection, slight color variations are possible. The fruits are crack-resistant, ripen fully, and have excellent market appeal. When sliced, they reveal a striking bicolor interior with juicy green-and-red flesh, thick meaty walls, and small seed cavities.
FLAVOR
The flavor is exceptionally sweet, rich, and well-balanced, with very low acidity and a pronounced fruity aftertaste. The flesh is tender, juicy, aromatic, and leaves a long, pleasant finish. Gordey Black is one of the most spectacular modern dark-fruited tomato varieties. Its unusual appearance, dramatic bicolor interior, and outstanding dessert flavor make it a true highlight of any tomato collection.
