GRANDPA'S COCK'S PLUM. An indeterminate tomato variety (plant height 1.5 to 1.8 meters), mid-season, with large fruits. One of the most productive varieties regardless of weather conditions or growing season. It consistently produces abundant yields. For instance, on July 15th, 34 fruits were counted on 9 trusses of one outermost plant. Fruit weight varies significantly — from 200 to 800 grams, with some reaching up to 900 grams.
After the start of mass harvesting, no further counts were made, but the plants continued producing fruit until the first frost. The last ripe tomatoes were picked just before cold weather set in, and even then, some green fruits remained on the vines, indicating long and steady fruiting. Fruits are elongated-heart-shaped and rich pink in color.
The flesh is meaty, fairly juicy, and nearly seedless. The taste is excellent — sweet with a hint of fruitiness. Perfect for fresh eating, salads, and for making juice or sauces. The variety has proven to be a reliable and flavorful favorite, even in challenging weather conditions.
