GREEN COPIA. An American variety. A green and pink-golden version of the famous "Copia" tomato, resulting from a hybridization between Marvel Stripe and Green Zebra. Tall, mid-to-late season, and highly productive tomato variety. In open ground, plants can reach over 1.6 meters in height. The plants have regular foliage, are indeterminate in growth, vigorous, and well-leafed. Fruits are typical beefsteak tomatoes, weighing between 180 and 400 grams.
Their shape varies from flattened-round with wavy edges to elongated or even nearly heart-shaped. The skin is green with pink and golden stripes, developing a marbled pattern when ripe. Inside, the flesh is a tricolor marbling of green, pink, and yellow hues. The texture is meaty, juicy, multi-chambered, with few seeds.
The flavor is sweet and rich, with a light, balanced acidity and a faint hint of bitterness that adds complexity. Its excellent taste makes it perfect both for fresh salads and as a collector’s variety. Fruiting begins mid-season and continues in waves until frost, with regular and abundant harvests. Suitable for both open ground and greenhouses.
