GUIDO. A family heirloom from Mexico. Mid-season, indeterminate tomato variety with vigorous, tall plants (up to 1.8 meters) and high productivity. The plants are strong, with dense, well-developed foliage that reliably protects the fruits from sunscald and overheating, especially in hot climates. The fruits are large, flattened-round, beefsteak type, and bright red when fully ripe. Requires staking and plant shaping.
Each tomato weighs between 300 and 700 grams, with some specimens even larger. The flesh is oily, meaty, juicy, with a pronounced tomato aroma and a rich, balanced flavor — sweet with a slight tang. This variety is known for its stable yields, consistent fruiting, and excellent taste, making it an ideal choice for fresh salads, as well as for sauces, juices, and paste.
