HAY’S (HAY’S), Bulgaria. This is a family heirloom from Bulgaria — a very old tomato variety that has long lost its original name. The fruits have a meaty heart-shaped form with a pleasant, well-balanced taste. The story is this: a few bushes of this variety were planted in a place without trellises, and they grew directly on the ground, without any care. They deserve top marks for their beauty!
The first tomatoes ripen very early. While fruits of other varieties are still tart, these are already sweet. By autumn, the entire harvest ripens 100%, without staking or pruning — simply sprawling on the ground. The fruits are shaped like a pink heart with an elongated tip and have a beautiful form. The fruit weight is 200-250 g.
The bush reaches 1.5 meters in height, slender, with drooping leaves, but miraculously supports several clusters with 3-5 fruits each. The shape is heart-like, with a rich pink color, dense, without defects or cracks, with a long tip. Inside, they are very juicy, sweet, with dense flesh and a rich tomato aroma.
