ISKORKA. An old tomato variety developed in 1985 that remains popular today thanks to its versatility and compact size. The plants grow to approximately 50 cm tall, with a neat growth habit and a moderate amount of foliage. Their small size makes them suitable for growing not only in outdoor garden beds but also in pots, containers, and balcony planters. This variety is an excellent choice for anyone who wants to enjoy homegrown fresh tomatoes even with limited space.
The fruits develop in numerous clusters, each typically bearing 8–10 tomatoes. They have an elongated oval shape and a rich, bright red color. Each fruit weighs approximately 80–100 g, making the tomatoes convenient for everyday cooking. Their smooth, glossy skin gives them an attractive appearance and helps them remain intact as they ripen. The fruits are generally resistant to cracking, which is particularly important when the weather is changeable.
This is an early-ripening variety, with approximately 95–105 days from emergence to the ripening of the first fruits. The harvest begins to ripen in July, allowing you to enjoy fresh tomatoes early in the summer. Under favorable conditions, the yield can reach around 4–7 kg per square meter of planted area. The tomatoes have a classic flavor with a characteristic tomato aroma, making them well suited to fresh salads and home-cooked dishes.
