IVAN-DA-MARYA. An early-maturing sweet pepper variety intended for cultivation in plastic greenhouses and open ground in southern regions. The plant is tall, up to 1.8 m, standard type, moderately leafy, and requires staking and shaping. It is characterized by abundant and uniform fruiting, excellent taste, and attractive marketable fruits. Fruits are narrow-conical, smooth, pendant, weighing 85-125 g. In technical maturity, the color is yellow; in biological maturity, it turns red. Wall thickness is 5-6 mm. The fruits are juicy and firm, suitable for fresh consumption, home cooking, and canning.
Seeds are sown for seedlings at the end of February; пикирование (transplanting) is done at the 1-2 true leaf stage. Transplanting to the greenhouse is carried out at the end of May following a 40×60 cm spacing scheme. After planting, side shoots and leaves are removed up to the first fork, and plants are tied to supports. Watering and soil loosening are performed as needed. Preventive treatment with biological products is recommended. The variety is known for its high yield.
