KUMQUAT PINK OPAL. A long-awaited stabilized variety, achieved through five years of work by a Ukrainian breeder. The plant grows up to 1 meter tall in open ground, wide but delicately built, with drooping foliage. The shape and color of the fruits are stunningly beautiful! A mid-season, high-yielding variety. A beautiful variety! Highly recommended! Fruits on different plants developed two very attractive shapes: plum-like (mini-keg) and elongated bottle-shaped. All fruits have a pointed, elongated tip, a delicate pink color with bluish hues on the shoulders.
The amount of anthocyanin (the blue tint) depends directly on the amount of sun received. The clusters are medium-sized, each bearing 6-8 fruits weighing about 35 g. There are many clusters, with fruit set on all levels without gaps. Fruits do not fall off the plant. The taste is mildly sweet with a slight spicy note and no strong acidity. The seeds are very small, most of them undeveloped. Top score for hyper productivity!
