LUDMILLA'S PINK HEART. This is a mid-season, indeterminate (tall) tomato variety with vigorous growth and high fruiting potential. In open ground, the plants grow over 1.6 meters tall and require staking and pruning. The plants are well-leafed, tolerant of temperature fluctuations, and show stable yields even in unfavorable weather conditions.
Fruits are large, meaty, pink, heart-shaped, weighing between 250 and 500 grams. The flesh is dense and juicy with a rich, sweet flavor and a pleasant aroma. The taste is well-balanced and dessert-like, without excessive acidity. Perfect for fresh consumption, and also great for making sauces, pastes, and tomato juice. The fruits store well, retaining their flavor, aroma, and appearance for a long time.
TOMATO HISTORY
An old family heirloom from Kazakhstan, carefully preserved over the years and passed down through generations. In the 1990s, this unique variety was brought to Germany by a German-Kazakh woman named Ludmilla, who shared the seeds with renowned German tomato breeder and enthusiast Reinhard Kraft. Thanks to them, the variety was revived and began its journey across the globe, gaining recognition among collectors in many countries.
Highly appreciated by gardeners and collectors for its productivity, reliability, fruit beauty, and outstanding flavor. The reviews are overwhelmingly positive: the fruits delight not only with their appearance but also with their exceptional taste. This variety is a true gem in our collection of heirloom tomatoes, combining rich history, dependability, and gourmet quality.
