MARI. This is a mid-season, tall and highly productive variety that impresses not only with the size of its fruits but also with their unusual bicolor coloration. In the open ground, the plant is indeterminate, strong and sprawling, reaching about 1.7 m in height. Each truss produces 3–4 fruits, with an average weight of 350–550 g. The fruits are fantastically beautiful — large, broad-heart-shaped beefsteaks with a small pointed tip, sometimes taking on a heart-shaped, flattened form. The main color is golden-orange, with characteristic rays of raspberry-pink blush spreading across the fruit from the stem end. This striking bicolor coloration is also preserved inside: when cut open, the fruits look just as spectacular as they do on the outside.
The flesh is dense, meaty and buttery, with very little excess juice. There are few seed chambers, while most of the fruit is filled with solid, fruity flesh. The flavor is rich, sweet and spicy, with a slight acidity and a pleasant aroma. This is a true beefsteak tomato that combines impressive size, unusual beauty and excellent flavor. The plant has large leaves and handles the weight of heavy trusses very well. This is a variety that deserves top marks for both appearance and taste. Its large, heavy fruits, striking golden-orange coloration with raspberry blush and superbly meaty flesh make it a real find for collectors and lovers of unusual beefsteak tomatoes.
