MARIANNA'S PEACE. A cherished family heirloom with a history dating back to the 1940s. This variety was brought to the United States from the Czech Republic in the early 20th century and has since been carefully preserved and passed down through generations. It boasts excellent adaptability to various growing conditions and performs well both in open ground and in greenhouses. The plant is indeterminate and tall — reaching 1.5-1.6 meters when grown outdoors.
It forms a strong, well-foliaged bush with potato-type leaves, requiring support and pruning. It is known for its long fruiting period and consistently high yields throughout the season. The variety produces a true “wall” of beautiful, large, deep pink fruits with silky skins. The tomatoes are meaty, multi-chambered, creamy in texture, juicy, aromatic, with a rich sweet flavor balanced by a pleasant tang.
Average fruit weight ranges from 250 to 600 grams, with some fruits exceeding 700 grams. In terms of flavor, it rivals renowned varieties like Brandywine, and often surpasses them in productivity. Perfect for fresh eating, salads, sauces, and juice. A true gem for connoisseurs of old, time-tested tomatoes with a soul and a story.
