MEXICO. An old pink-fruited heirloom — the true hit of summer 2024! This tomato variety is a family heirloom brought to the United States by a Mexican family living in the Midwest. Proven over decades, it has earned the love of gardeners for its productivity and outstanding flavor. The plants are indeterminate, vigorous, with strong stems and a well-developed root system. In open ground, the plant height reaches 1.8 to 2 meters. It is a mid-to-late-season variety that produces large, smooth, uniform, flattened-round fruits of a rich pink color.
The average fruit weight is 700-900 grams, with some specimens exceeding 1 kg — the record fruit in our garden weighed 1.23 kg! The flesh is highly aromatic, meaty, and sweet, with a rich tomato flavor. Perfect for fresh salads, thick juices, and sauces. It also stores well — much better than most other large-fruited varieties. One of the best pink tomatoes for those who value truly large, flavorful, and beautiful fruit!
