MOONSTONE. A variety of Ukrainian origin, developed by Ruslan Dukhov between 2005 and 2015. A short, mid-season, and productive tomato variety with an original fruit coloration and a bright, intense flavor. Plants are compact, only 50–60 cm tall when grown outdoors, require no pruning, and are resistant to weather fluctuations. The variety forms complex clusters, each of which can hold up to 12 fruits weighing from 30 to 100 grams. The lower fruits are the largest — up to 100 g. At the technical ripeness stage, tomatoes are green with dark green streaks, and when fully ripe, they turn a vivid yellow-orange with a marbled shimmer.
The flavor is truly remarkable: bright, fruity, rich, with sharp notes and a noticeable sweetness complemented by a gentle tartness. The taste resembles a fruit intensified by a natural flavor concentrate. The aroma is also exceptionally rich, with pronounced fruity notes. The flesh is dense, buttery, and melts in the mouth. The variety was obtained from the breeder in 2022 and immediately caught our attention due to its exotic color, high yield, and impressive flavor. Perfect for fresh consumption, decorating dishes, and creating vibrant sauces.
