NILE RIVER EGYPTIAN. A mid-season, tall, and productive tomato variety. Plants are strong and vigorous, with good foliage coverage, reaching 1.5-1.7 meters in open ground. They produce clusters of large, meaty fruits of bright red color. Fruit shapes vary — from heart-shaped to plum-shaped, including both rounder and more elongated specimens. The average weight ranges from 200 to 600 grams, though some sources mention fruits weighing up to 1 kilogram.
In our 2023 season, we didn’t observe fruits reaching 1 kg, but the tomatoes were still impressively large. The flesh is dense, low in juice, nearly seedless and cavity-free, sweet, and rich. The taste is well-balanced, with a distinct sweetness and no excessive acidity. Thanks to their meatiness and minimal liquid content, the tomatoes are perfect for fresh eating, salads, sauces, and pastes. They slice well and have an attractive market appearance.
Note: these tomatoes contain very few seeds. This variety is valued for its stable yield, excellent flavor, and versatility. Suitable for growing in open ground and under temporary cover. Staking and pruning are recommended to improve ventilation and light exposure. Overall, we can confidently recommend this variety as stable and high-yielding.
