NUTTY PLUM. A new variety from the breeding work of Sofia Saakova. It was obtained as a result of an author's cross between the Abakansky Treugolny and Uluru Ochre varieties. The goal was to create a plum-shaped tomato with an ocher hue, and the result is a productive bronze-ocher "plum" of indeterminate type. The variety is early or mid-early in terms of ripening. In open ground, plants reach about 1.5 m in height. The bushes are not dense, form neatly, and require minimal staking and care. Fruiting is abundant, the clusters are large and heavy. Fruits weigh 80-130 g, sometimes up to 150 g, elongated plum-shaped with a pointed tip — the shape resembles Abakansky Treugolny.
The color is bronze-ocher, warm, unusual for plum-type tomatoes. The fruits are firm, meaty, do not crack, and hold their shape well. The flesh is dense, rich, the taste is very harmonious: sweetness combines with a pleasant tomato tartness. Impressively — a confident 5+ for taste and an equally high score for yield. Suitable for universal use — fresh salads, processing, canning. According to the author, the variety showed good stability, however, at this stage of breeding, trait segregation is still possible. This makes it especially interesting for fans of author's novelties and experimental cultivation. "Nutty Plum" is a productive, beautiful, and unusual tomato with an ocher hue and a bright tomato flavor.
