ORANGE FOUNTAIN. An early and productive variety that is well suited for both outdoor cultivation and greenhouse growing. The plants develop vigorous bushes up to 2 meters tall, so they will require support. The variety tolerates hot weather well and can continue actively setting fruit even under high temperatures.
The fruits are unusual and very attractive — elongated-cylindrical in shape, with smooth, glossy skin of a rich, bright orange color. The small tomatoes weigh around 15–20 g. They are borne in impressive simple and compound clusters, with 14–28 fruits per cluster, so during ripening the plant becomes covered with numerous orange “fountains.”
The tomatoes have a sweet, dessert-like flavor with pleasant fruity notes. Their small size and intense color make them an excellent choice for fresh salads, appetizers, and attractive serving. The fruits are also ideal for whole-fruit canning, retaining their appealing appearance and making a beautiful addition to homemade preserves.
The composition of the fruits also deserves special attention: the variety contains a natural low-allergen antioxidant that is of interest as part of a balanced and varied diet.
