PARIS. A spectacular and very worthy variety with a dark "chocolate" fruit color and outstanding taste qualities. Although the exact origin of the variety is unknown to us and no reliable information about its history has been found, its characteristics confidently place it among the best mid-season large-fruited tomatoes. The variety is mid-season, tall. The bush is powerful, strong, reaching 1.6-1.8 m depending on growing conditions, and requires staking and shaping. It is distinguished by high yield and good resistance to major tomato diseases. The fruits are large, weighing 200-400 g, flat-round in shape, uniform and very attractive in appearance. The skin is smooth and glossy.
The color is rich, deep — from dark brown-purple to pink-chocolate, especially expressive when fully ripe. The flesh is dense, meaty, without wateriness, with a small number of seeds. The taste is perfectly balanced, rich, sweet, with a rich tomato aroma. In taste tests, the variety deserves a 5+ rating, which fully justifies its popularity among lovers of dark-fruited tomatoes. 'Paris' is excellent for fresh salads, slicing, and gourmet dishes, where complex flavor nuances and the spectacular appearance of the fruit are particularly valued. A reliable, productive, and very tasty variety for collectors and connoisseurs of unusual tomatoes.
