PAW PAW YELLOW. One of our true hits of the 2023 season. A favorite for everyone who appreciates large, spectacular, and delicious tomatoes. This impressive, tall, mid-season, high-yielding, large-fruited variety belongs to the category of family heirlooms. In open ground, plants reach up to 2 meters in height, forming strong, sturdy bushes covered with massive fruits. It creates the impression of a true “living wall” of tomatoes — a sight you won’t forget.
All fruits are exceptionally large: the average weight ranges from 400 to 800 g, with a record specimen of the season reaching an impressive 1056 g. The fruits are ribbed, with a dense, thick skin, beautifully colored in orange-pink both inside and out. The flesh is meaty, juicy, with a rich fruity flavor typical of most bicolors. An interesting feature is that the flavor changes depending on the ripeness stage.
Slightly underripe fruits have a brighter, more harmonious taste, while overripe ones become less expressive. For this reason, many people prefer them slightly underripe and then ripened indoors for a few days. The variety has German origins but was sent to us from Belgium. In terms of flavor, productivity, and visual appeal, we confidently give it the highest rating.
