PITANGA YELLOW. A tall, mid-season variety with powerful growth vigor. In open ground, it reaches about 1.5 m. The plants are sturdy, stable, with a simple leaf type, forming a strong bush with excellent fruit set. The fruits are yellow-orange, distinctly ribbed, meaty, and heavy for their size. Weight varies from 180 to 280 g. A cluster forms 3-5 fruits with uniform ripening, making harvesting convenient and even.
The yield is high and stable. When cut open, the tomato resembles a flower with petals and a large center — a very impressive and decorative appearance. The walls are thick, dense, the flesh is meaty, with a small amount of juice. The taste is bright, harmonious, characteristic of the best orange varieties — sweet, rich, with a soft refreshing note. An excellent choice for fresh salads and beautiful slicing.
