PUDOVIK. A variety that has rightfully become a favorite of many gardeners. A unique combination of large fruit size, high yield, excellent taste, and unpretentiousness makes it a true classic. Few seeds, fleshy, powerful — a tomato that impresses from the first harvest. A mid-season, large-fruited variety of Siberian breeding. The bush is determinate, 0.8-1.5 m tall — depending on growing conditions. Suitable for both open ground and greenhouses. Requires staking and moderate pruning, especially due to the heavy fruits. The flesh is dense, meaty, juicy, with a minimal amount of seeds.
The fruits are heart-shaped, of a rich crimson-red color, very large — 300-1000 g, and with good care can reach 1.5 kg. True giants! The taste is rich, deep, with a light pleasant tartness that accentuates the sweetness. The balance is excellent, without wateriness. It is for its taste qualities that the variety is especially highly valued. The purpose is universal: fresh salads, thick juices, tomato sauces, paste. Thanks to its dense structure, the fruits hold their shape well and have decent shelf life. Unpretentious in care, consistently productive large-fruited variety.
