PURPLE EMERALD. A spectacular rare tomato variety of Austrian origin, combining high yield with a truly decorative appearance of the fruits. A fairly rare variety from this country. The plant is tall, mid-season, growing up to 1.2-1.5 meters in open ground conditions. The bush is well-leafed, strong, stable, forming neat clusters of 5-7 fruits that ripen uniformly and look very elegant on the plant. The variety is excellent for both amateur cultivation and collector's plantings. The fruits are elongated in shape with an elegant pointed "tip," weighing 50-80 g.
The coloring is unusual and memorable: deep purple-violet with contrasting green stripes, making each tomato look like a small work of art. The skin is dense, the fruits hold their shape well, are resistant to cracking, and have good keeping quality. Thanks to its dense structure, the variety is excellent for whole-fruit canning, drying, garnishing dishes, and fresh consumption, and will also be a real find for those who appreciate rare and exotic tomatoes.
