QUEEN OF THE SUN. A striking new variety bred by Latvian breeder Valdis Puliņš, developed from a cross between Queen of the Night and Orange Russian 117. This experimental breeding line stands out for its extraordinary anthocyanin coloration, large fruits, and exceptional dessert-quality flavor. A mid-season indeterminate variety with vigorous plants reaching about 1.2 m in open ground. Highly productive, producing 3–4 fruits per truss, each weighing 230–300 g.
The fruits are flattened-round with slight ribbing around the stem. Their base color is soft yellow to creamy, while the upper part is covered with rich dark purple anthocyanin blushes. This spectacular color combination makes every fruit unique and highly ornamental. Inside, the flesh is bright yellow, buttery, juicy, and richly aromatic. The seed cavities are small, and the skin is thin and almost imperceptible when eaten.
FLAVOR
The flavor is rich, harmonious, and dessert-like. Pronounced sweetness is complemented by delicate fruity notes, while the tender flesh literally melts in your mouth, leaving a pleasant lingering finish. Perfect for fresh salads, vegetable platters, and gourmet tastings, where both its beauty and flavor can be fully appreciated. Queen of the Sun is one of the most spectacular anthocyanin tomatoes, combining an unusual creamy-yellow color, outstanding ornamental value, and superb eating quality. A brilliant new addition to our collection that leaves a lasting impression.
