LIVINGSTON'S YELLOW OXHEART. A tall, mid-late, highly productive tomato variety bred in the USA in 1929 by the renowned breeder Livingston. The plants are vigorous, with a strong stem and a well-developed root system, forming dense, leafy bushes up to 1.5 m tall in open ground. The foliage is of the regular leaf type, dark green in color. The fruits vary somewhat in shape, most commonly rounded heart-shaped, bright orange, very firm and resilient. The skin is smooth, free of cracks and blemishes, and resistant to splitting.
Fruit weight ranges from 180 to 330 g. The tomatoes are exceptionally meaty, moderately juicy, and have a rich, harmonious flavor that perfectly balances sweetness with a light refreshing acidity. They are ideal for fresh consumption, salads, sauces, and tomato juice. Thanks to their dense texture and attractive appearance, the fruits store and transport well. The variety delivers consistently high yields both in open ground and in greenhouses. Requires staking and plant training.
