SERGEANT PINEAPPLE RUSH. A new breeding achievement by Sofia Saakova. A modern authorial variety distinguished by high decorative value. The variety was created by Sofia Saakova and is one of the complex pollination lines involving the Strawberry Schlumbaum, Pineapple Heart, and Sergeant Peppers forms. This line is noticeably different from the known 'Pineapple Sergeant': its anthocyanin blush is more moderate, but the fruit coloring is significantly brighter, warmer, and more expressive, with a beautiful blush. The plant is medium-sized, growing to about 1.2 meters in open ground conditions.
The bush is sturdy, well-balanced, with steady growth. The variety is mid-season, starting to bear fruit uniformly and stably. The fruits look almost perfect: even, neat, without cracks or signs of disease. The coloring is very festive — golden-raspberry, with a beautiful anthocyanin blush and a pronounced flush, especially on the sunny side. The fruit weight usually ranges from 150-300 g, the shape is harmonious and attractive. The flesh is dense, meaty, not watery, and does not "leak" when cut. There are few seed chambers; most of the volume consists of dense, juicy fruit flesh.
The flavor is outstanding: very sweet, rich, with bright fruity notes and a soft, noble depth. One of those varieties that is memorable from the first tasting. The variety is distinguished by high yield and prolonged fruiting — the plants consistently set fruit until late autumn. Sergeant Pineapple Rush is perfectly suited both for fresh consumption and salads, as well as for collection cultivation. This is a tomato that successfully combines breeding novelty, fruit beauty, yield, and a truly premium flavor.
