SHAPKA MONOMAKHA. A late-ripening tomato variety named after the distinctive shape of its fruits. The tomatoes are large, red, flattened, and have prominent ribs on the surface. Individual fruits can weigh up to 800 g. The plants grow to approximately 150 cm tall and require staking for support.
The fruits have multilocular, meaty, tender flesh with a very sweet taste. Thanks to their rich flavor, these tomatoes are especially delicious fresh and are perfect for summer salads. The large fruits can also be used in various hot dishes, added to soups, or processed into tomato juice. Their bright red color and impressive size make the harvest attractive and appetizing.
Approximately 120 days pass from emergence to the ripening of the first fruits. Seeds are sown for seedlings in March, and the plants are transplanted outdoors when weather conditions are suitable. The large tomatoes are harvested in September. For good growth, the plants need plenty of sunlight, fertile soil, and regular watering. Waterlogging around the roots should be avoided, and the stems should be tied to supports when necessary.
Seedlings are grown in a loose, nutrient-rich substrate. After transplanting, the plants thrive in fertile, slightly acidic soil with good drainage. Regular feeding supports bush growth and the development of large fruits. With proper care, a good harvest of delicious tomatoes can be obtained. This variety will appeal to those who enjoy large red tomatoes with sweet, tender flesh.
