STRIPED OXHEART. A mid-season bicolor originating from Virginia, USA. Indeterminate, the bush reaches 1.3 m in open ground, with 3–4 fruits per cluster, averaging 200–250 g. Shape — flattened round, with a hint of heart shape, although I expected a more pointed heart. However, the brightness of the colors and the taste completely overshadowed this detail. The flesh is insanely aromatic, very tender, sweet, and melts in your mouth.
The fruiting and ripening are extended, and the yield is above average. Seeds were purchased by us in the Netherlands. We fell in love with these smooth and beautiful bicolor hearts at first sight. Then, when we started tasting them, we discovered the fruits are very sweet, meaty, juicy — the most delicious! We rated this tomato the highest on all parameters. Highly recommended to everyone!
It performed excellently during the hot and dry 2017 season and also produced abundantly during the drought of 2018. When the heat subsided at the end of August and early September, even without rainfall, 25–40 fruits set on each bush again, some of which ripened after harvest. If grown in a greenhouse, this tomato would have continued fruiting without interruption. Top marks for beauty!
