SUMMER APRICOT. This charming heirloom variety, whose name translates to "Summer Apricot," is a true gem originating from Bulgaria. The plant is indeterminate in growth type, of moderate vigor, with regular foliage and moderate branching. In open ground, it reaches a height of about 1.5 meters. The main treasure of this variety is its astonishing fruit. Large, hefty, weighing from 300 to 600 grams, they belong to the beefsteak type and have a characteristic, slightly flattened shape. The faint ribbing, visible only on the upper part, smoothly transitions into neat, rounded shoulders. The skin is a bright orange color, truly reminiscent of a sun-kissed apricot.
The fruits form attractive clusters of 4 to 6, promising a generous harvest. It is the flavor and texture that make this tomato exceptional. The flesh is extremely dense, meaty, and rich, with a pleasant, creamy structure. When eaten, it doesn't become watery; the juice is almost imperceptible, making it perfect for fresh salads and slicing. The taste is subtle, very delicate, and sweetish with a distinct fruity note that fully lives up to its name.
