SWEET CASADY / SWEET CASSIDY. A popular American-bred tomato variety developed by renowned breeder Tom Wagner by crossing Raisin Vert and Casady's Folly. This tall, indeterminate tomato is distinguished by its unusual fruit coloring, sweet flavor, and long fruiting period. The plant typically reaches 1.5–2 m in height and requires support, tying, and regular removal of side shoots. The fruits are small and elongated, finger-shaped or plum-shaped, measuring approximately 4–6 cm long and weighing around 20–30 g.
Their bright red skin is decorated with winding golden-yellow or orange stripes, giving the tomatoes a particularly attractive appearance. The flesh is tender and sweet, with few seeds and a pleasant flavor. Sweet Casady is a mid-season variety that, with proper care, can produce abundant crops over an extended period, right up until the autumn frosts. These attractive little fruits are ideal for fresh eating, salads, and preserving. This variety is an excellent choice for anyone who appreciates sweet tomatoes with unusual striped coloring.
