SWEET TROPICAL PEAR. An original variety bred by Sofia Saakova, which reached the F7 stabilization stage in 2025 and is now almost completely stable. One of the sweetest varieties in the collection, combining an unusual emerald-ochre coloration, an elegant fruit shape, and an outstanding honey-fruity flavor. A mid-early indeterminate variety with graceful plants reaching about 1.7 m in open ground. The plants produce strong stems and trusses bearing 4–6 fruits each. Most tomatoes weigh 120–200 g, while fruits on the upper trusses may become considerably larger.
Although highly stabilized, slight varietal segregation may still occasionally occur. The fruits range in shape from elongated plum-shaped to beautiful truffle- or pear-shaped forms. Their base color is emerald-ochre with a delicate anthocyanin blush on the shoulders. The skin is extremely thin, tender, and almost imperceptible when eaten. Inside, the flesh is dense, buttery, exceptionally juicy, and highly aromatic. The seed cavities are very small with few seeds, so most of the fruit consists of rich, tender flesh.
FLAVOR
The flavor is exceptionally sweet, with rich honey and tropical fruit notes, complemented by delicate spicy nuances and a barely noticeable refreshing acidity. The flesh literally melts in your mouth, leaving a long-lasting fruity finish. Fully ripe fruits are best enjoyed immediately after harvest. They are ideal for fresh eating, tastings, and gourmet salads.
