VERNISSAGE YELLOW. A mid-season tomato variety of our own breeding, developed from a cross between Stupitsky and Chinese Velvet. After the cross, plants with the most interesting and distinctive fruit coloration were selected. The period from germination to the beginning of ripening is approximately 110–115 days. The plant is sturdy, reaches about 1.5 m in height, and produces a good crop load. The tomatoes are round, weighing 40–60 g, and grow in clusters of approximately six fruits. As they ripen, they develop a rich yellow color with beautiful green stripes, creating a striking contrast.
The fruits look unusual and decorative, while their pleasant sweet flavor and good aroma make them excellent for fresh consumption. The variety can provide an abundant harvest — under favorable conditions, up to 15 kg of tomatoes can be harvested from one plant. The small fruits are convenient for salads, vegetable slices, and various homemade preserves. They look especially attractive in mixed preserves thanks to the combination of their yellow color and green stripes.
One of the variety’s distinctive features is the possibility of drying the fruits for winter. Tomatoes prepared this way can be added to soups, borscht, and other dishes, giving them a rich flavor and aroma. An excellent choice for those who appreciate unusual home-bred varieties, original coloring, sweet fruits, and versatile use.
