WOOLLY BLUE JAY. A determinate, mid-season variety bred by Tom Wagner. Plant height is about 1.0 m. The bush is compact, well-leafed, distinguished by high yield and ornamentality. The leaves and fruits are covered with light pubescence, which gives the plant an unusual, velvety appearance. The fruits weigh 60-120 g, with pronounced blue (anthocyanin) coloration.
The appearance is very striking due to the combination of dark color and pubescent surface. The flesh is dark red and juicy. The taste is sweet, pleasant, and harmonious. The variety is valued for its ornamentality and decent taste qualities, suitable for fresh consumption.
