BEAR PAW BRONZE BICOLOR. Is a vigorous, large-fruited tomato variety with a strong plant that reaches approximately 1.3–1.5 m in height when grown outdoors. The plant requires staking and regular pruning of side shoots, as the heavy fruits place considerable weight on the stems. It is best grown with one or two main stems, removing the lower leaves and side shoots that develop from the leaf axils in a timely manner. This helps control excessive foliage growth, improves air circulation and reduces the load on the stems.
Each truss produces 4–5 very large fruits, usually weighing 500–800 g. The tomatoes are flattened, often strongly ribbed around the stem end, and bronze-green in color. The flesh is dense, juicy, sweet and crumbly, with relatively few seeds. At full ripeness, the interior develops a distinctive bicolor pattern: a red area appears in the center of the fruit among the green gel, forming a “tie-like” shape. The flavor is rich and sweet, with a characteristic tomato aroma. The fruits are well suited for fresh eating, salads and slicing.
