BLUE AMBROSIA. A tall indeterminate variety up to 1.8 m high. Obtained by crossing the varieties Bosque Blue and Ambrosia Gold, it combines the anthocyanin coloration of "blue" tomatoes and the pronounced sweetness of the Ambrosia line. The plant has medium growth vigor, is well-leafed, and requires staking. The fruits are cherry type, weighing 20-25 g, round or slightly elongated in height. The skin is dense.
They are collected in clusters of 10-12 pieces, arranged in a "herringbone" pattern. The color is rich orange-yellow with purple strokes of anthocyanin, especially pronounced in the upper part of the fruit. The flesh is bright orange, very juicy, with a large amount of seeds. The taste is sweet, rich, and harmonious. The yield is stable, however, slight deviations in fruit type are possible. The variety is suitable for fresh consumption and decorative presentation.
