COSMIC. A modern author's variety from 2019 by breeder Brad Gates, which we consider one of the most spectacular among anthocyanin tomatoes. The variety combines high decorative appeal, excellent resistance, and superb taste qualities. Mid-season, plants of indeterminate type, about 1.5 meters tall, well-balanced in growth vigor. The plant is moderately leafy, hardy, resistant to stressful conditions, undemanding in care, and consistently productive. The fruits are round in shape, very beautiful and unusual. The flesh is red, juicy, with a pleasant texture.
The main color is dark red, the shoulders are deep blue due to high anthocyanin content, with a scattering of golden speckles. In bright sunlight, the coloring becomes even more intense, and the fruits can appear almost black — a truly "cosmic" effect. The taste is harmonious, rich, with light fruity notes, without sharp acidity. In taste tests, the variety confidently deserves 5 points. Cosmic is an excellent choice for those who appreciate not only the exotic appearance but also a true tomato taste, as well as stability and reliability in cultivation.
