CUBAN SALAMI PURPLE. A tall, mid-season variety with exotic, memorable fruits. The plants are powerful, well-developed, reaching a height of 1.7-1.9 m, distinguished by stable and abundant fruiting. The fruits have an unusual elongated pepper-like, sometimes pear-shaped form, with pronounced longitudinal ribs. The color is rich burgundy-purple, often with decorative stripes, especially noticeable at full maturity. The fruit weight varies within 120-250 g. The flesh is dense, meaty, and at the same time juicy — practically solid tomato "meat".
Seed chambers are extremely few, seeds are almost absent. The taste is rich, sweet with pleasant piquant notes, full and deep, characteristic of the best dark-fruited varieties. The variety is known for its original fruit shape and high flesh quality. Tomatoes are excellent for fresh consumption, salads, slicing, drying, baking, and thick sauces. Thanks to the dense texture, the fruits hold their shape well and have an attractive marketable appearance. Cuban Salami Purple is a find for collectors of rare varieties and for those who appreciate unusual, meaty tomatoes with bright flavor and spectacular appearance.
