DEMIT DE ROSOY. Is a tall, vigorous tomato variety developed through the dedicated work of five generations of the Demit de Rosoy family. In open ground, plants can reach over 1.5 meters in height, forming strong, resilient bushes with a well-developed root system and sturdy stem. The plant requires staking and pruning. It is known for its high disease resistance and productivity. The standout feature of this variety is its exceptionally large fruits, which have become its signature trait.
In September 2018, a tomato of this variety won 1st place at the vegetable festival in Haverskerque, France, in the “Largest Tomato” category. The average fruit weight ranges from 300 to 500 grams, though larger specimens can be grown under favorable conditions. The tomatoes are known for their dense, meaty flesh, rich aroma, and well-balanced flavor — sweet with a subtle hint of acidity.
Thanks to their structure, the fruits are suitable not only for fresh consumption but also for processing — they are ideal for sauces, pastes, and juices. Due to the family's careful breeding, the variety is stable in its characteristics and adapts well to various climates. This tomato is not just a variety — it's a living story passed down through generations. Perfect for those who value taste, heritage, and productivity.
