GAROBO. An impressive pink beefsteak tomato with striking anthocyanin coloration. This variety immediately catches the eye with its unusual combination of a raspberry-pink background and almost ink-black shoulders. One of the most spectacular blue-fruited tomatoes for any collection. A mid-early, medium-sized variety. In open ground, plants grow to about 1.0 m (3.3 ft) and have moderate vigor with relatively sparse foliage. Each cluster produces 3–4 fruits weighing 250–350 g (9–12 oz).
The fruits are large, flattened-round, and uniform. The base color is raspberry-pink, while deep ink-blue anthocyanin radiates broadly from the stem end toward the center of the fruit. In full sun, the contrast becomes especially striking. The flesh is dense, juicy, and tender, with a pleasant buttery texture. Fruits hold their shape well, remain on the plant for a long time without losing quality, and transport well.
FLAVOR
The flavor is rich and well-balanced, combining sweetness with refreshing acidity and distinct fruity notes. The juicy flesh literally melts in your mouth, leaving a pleasant aromatic aftertaste. Garobo is a variety for those looking not only for a beautiful tomato but for a true work of natural art. The raspberry-pink fruits with dramatic anthocyanin "brushstrokes" look spectacular both on the plant and when sliced.
