GENERAL KORNILOV. A mid-season variety about 1.2 m tall, intended for growing in open ground and greenhouses. The bush is vigorous, well-leafed, with strong stems. Requires staking and training to 1-2 stems to obtain larger and more uniform fruits. It is distinguished by stable fruit set and good yield under standard agricultural practices. The fruits weigh 200-350 g, are large, of unusual shape, with pronounced facets and characteristic ribbing. The shape is rare and recognizable.
The tomatoes are very meaty and dense, which is uncommon for varieties of this type. The flesh is thick, with a rich structure, a small amount of seeds, and minimal voids. The taste ranges from good to excellent depending on growing conditions and the degree of fruit ripeness. The aroma is strong, distinctly tomato-like. The taste is rich, slightly sweet, with a light balanced tartness. The variety is suitable for fresh consumption, making salads, thick sauces, and processing.
