GLITTERING PURPLE FLASH. A signature variety bred by Sofia Saakova, which reached the F6 stabilization stage in 2025. It was developed by crossing Night Candle and Starfighter Prime. One of the highlights of the collection, it is prized for its unusual coloration, large heart-shaped fruits, and outstanding dessert flavor. A mid-early indeterminate variety. In open ground, it forms a vigorous plant about 1.4 m (4.6 ft) tall with spreading, slightly drooping foliage. Each truss sets 5–6 fruits weighing 250–300 g.
Although the variety is highly stable, slight variations in fruit shape may still occur. The fruits are large, heart-shaped, sometimes with an elongated pointed tip. Their primary color is deep purple with brick-red overtones that create the impression of an inner glow. Some fruits may develop a light anthocyanin blush. The skin is thin, and the fruits are uniform and highly attractive. Inside, the flesh is purple-chocolate, dense, meaty, and intensely aromatic. Thick, juicy walls and small seed cavities provide an excellent texture.
FLAVOR
The flavor is rich, harmonious, and delicately spicy. Pronounced sweetness is balanced by a light acidity, creating a complex dessert-like taste with a vibrant tomato aroma. The flesh is tender, juicy, and leaves a long, pleasant aftertaste. The fruits are ideal for fresh eating, salads, tastings, and elegant vegetable platters.
