GOLDEN APPLE SOFIA. An expressive authorial variety by Sofia Saakova, combining bright appearance, dense fruit structure, and rich sweet flavor. A mid-late, tall tomato forming neat, well-balanced plants about 1.5 m tall. The bushes are sturdy, stable, with good fruit set and uniform fruiting. The average fruit weight is 150-200 g. The fruits are very impressive, dense, round-flat, truly reminiscent of a juicy apple in shape. The flesh in cross-section is no less impressive than the exterior — incredibly sweet, spicy, aromatic. The consistency is jelly-like, juicy, yet the fruits do not leak and hold their shape excellently.
The main coloring is yellow-pink, with an anthocyanin blush whose intensity directly depends on the amount of sunlight: on well-lit plants, the fruits acquire a particularly expressive contrast and depth of color. There are many seed chambers, giving the cut a beautiful structure and flavor intensity. The flesh is dense, elastic, with pronounced sweetness and a rich tomato aroma. The fruits are distinguished by good shelf life and density, perfectly suited for fresh consumption, as well as for slicing, salads, and presentation.
