MAPLE HEART. A mid-early, high-yielding tomato variety bred by Sofia Saakova, resulting from a cross between Maple Syrup and Cardinal on Straw. The plants are vigorous and indeterminate, with a long growing and fruiting period, reaching approximately 2 m in height. The variety is notable for its impressive productivity and can continue producing fresh fruits until late autumn.
The fruits are large, weighing approximately 200–500 g, and are predominantly rounded-heart-shaped, although some may resemble a little boat. Their coloring is particularly interesting: olive-yellow shades gradually transition into pink and ochre tones, creating a unique multicolored pattern. When sliced, the flesh reveals a combination of three colors, making the tomatoes look especially striking. The fruits stand out for their unusual blend of shades.
The flavor of this variety deserves special attention. The flesh is meaty, juicy, and aromatic, with a rich sweetness that makes the fruits especially enjoyable fresh. These tomatoes are excellent for salads, slicing, and preparing summer vegetable dishes. Their large size and beautiful multicolored flesh make them a centerpiece on any table. This variety will appeal to those who appreciate not only abundant harvests but also distinctive flavor experiences.
The tall plants should be grown with support, with the stems and heavy fruit clusters tied up in good time. To produce large, flavorful tomatoes, provide the plants with a sunny location, fertile soil, and regular watering. Pruning and removing excess side shoots will help maintain healthy plant development throughout the season. Under favorable conditions, this variety will reward you with an extended fruiting period and a generous harvest of beautiful, sweet, and aromatic tomatoes.
