MUSCAT. One of the true gems of our collection — a very old tomato variety originating from France. This is a high-yielding, time-tested tomato that continues to bear fruit steadily right up to the first frosts. The plants are strong and vigorous, forming dense, well-leafed bushes up to 1.5 meters tall. The large, intricately shaped leaves give the plants a particularly decorative and healthy appearance. The fruits are round, weighing 100-120 grams, uniform, and ripen evenly and abundantly. The flesh is meaty, juicy, and richly colored.
The flavor is vivid and intense, with a dominant sweetness balanced by a pleasant tartness. This is a classic sweet-and-sour tomato with excellent flavor balance — perfect for both fresh consumption and processing. Unfortunately, we were unable to find complete historical information about this variety, but its outstanding taste and attractive appearance make it a true treasure for collectors and fans of traditional French tomatoes.
